The Red Dwarf Radio Show is a adaptation of the abridged audio books (though some more things are cut out) of the first two Red Dwarf novels with added background sound effects such as the sounds of moving skutters or moving spaceships. There are also some more major additions such as a background performance of "Press Your Lumps Against Mine". Being based on the audio books, all the characters are voiced by Chris Barrie. There were never radio show adaptations of the Craig Charles' audio book of Last Human or Rob Grant's audio book version of Backwards. It was played again on BBC Radio to correspond to the broadcast of Series X on Dave.
