Hi TheBigGnome -- I was hoping that I could edit the wiki-navigation menu to include some of the more important elements from Red Dwarf like episodes and characters. At the moment it only has three default sections, and this would be a good way for visitors to navigation to the appropriate content.
Frankly, I despise them, as they make it harder to do anything, whether visiting or editing, because they are so clumsy. The constant dropdowns from two different areas now hinder my ability to click what I want, not enhance it. It would be nice if there was an option to turn off the automatic drop down menus (maybe there is and I just haven't found it). If there was, I'd be more inclined to revamp the navbar myself.
Go ahead and try if you want. I can always change it back if I don't like it.
Okay, I've added the sections for characters and episodes. If you want to see if there is an option regarding hiding drop down menus, you might want to check over at the Dev Wiki for code that you can apply to your personal .js or .css settings. Bear in mind that that kind of modification would have to only be for your use, as enabling it for the entire wiki would be a breach of the Terms of Service.
I see you've enabled Message Wall, so for easy of posting, I will continue here.
I see your point on the header image - my concern was mainly using a more up to date image. Considering the original image is much larger, it can be cropped better if you want to avoid the issue of the text obscuring faces but the image you have works well enough.
No problems on the background.
As for the wordmark – it was taken from the Red Dwarf official site and therefore the colours are "correct" but I see your point as most of the logos do have the red colouration. As for it not reflecting the Wiki name, that was intentional. Because Tongue Tied is already in the Wiki name description, using a logo helps to identify the wiki at a glance. I will try designing a wordmark that meets both expectations.
I would recommend considering Discussions -- it gives contributors and fans a place to talk about the show away from the wiki.
I did not realise that one of the videos was region locked. You are right that videos should be accessible to all.
Lastly, I would recommend changing the wiki colouration to match the one I have used as it uses the red colouration from the Red Dwarf logo.
Honestly, I'm not sure if you can or not. If it is not on the help page, then it is possible that you can't. However, I do encourage you to ask in the Community Central forums if it possible -- other users may have found a solution.
