Dennis "Dinny" Powell (27 July 1932 - 6 June 2023[1]), was an actor and stuntman. He played Brother Famine in Gunmen of the Apocalypse.
Biography[]
Powell comes from a family of stunt performers and started in the stunt business at the age of 13.
His TV work includes Brideshead Revisited, Bergerac, Sharpe, Blakes 7, Eastenders, Doctor Who and Wish Me Luck.
He has worked on many films as both a stuntman and stunt coordinator. These include working as a double for both Sean Connery and Roger Moore in many James Bond films, as well as The Boys from Brazil, Krull, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, The Three Musketeers, The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, Willow and Mission Impossible.
