DVD, also known as "Digital Versatile Disc" or "Digital Video Disc," was an optical disc storage media format. Its main uses were video and data storage. DVDs were of the same dimensions as compact discs (CDs) but stored more than six times as much data.

Some time after the 21st century, DVDs fell out of use in favour of videos because humans "were utterly incapable of putting DVDs back in their cases." (Back to Earth)
